These three words gave the name of 3Com.Despite the critical problems 3Com suffered in the beginning of 2008, when Bain Capital and Huawei wanted to buy it, till now the pioneer continues working as an independent public company. The celebration is important no only for 3Com also for all the industry.

A day after Hewlett-Packard updated its desktop PC family, from its local office in San Jose, California, Acer introduced new models of Aspire and monitors.The company from Taiwan also released new models of entertainment notebooks of its Gateway family of products. The new announcement includes the Aspire M5800, M3800, X3810 and the monitor H235H LCD. All the new desktop computers are based on Intel processors. In particular, M5800-U5802A runs an Intel Core 2 Quad Q9400 Processor of 2.66Ghz, 6MB L2 Cache and 1333MHz FSB.

IBM, through its Lotus Software unit, announced a new plan to bring an alternative without costs to the users of Microsoft Office 7, offering the new version of Lotus Symphony, a desk productivity tool.IBM says Lotus Symphony 1.3 read, edit and save MS-Office files without problems. The new package includes also animation to inter-operate with PowerPoint presentations. In summary, the Lotus Symphony gives a free option to all the companies that pay big amounts for MS-Office licences.
