Tech Data-FalconStor: From Boxes to Total Solutions
Tech Data-FalconStor: De cajas a soluciones totales

Tech Data distributed two press communications that say more than the normal daily news from distributors to journalists and industry analysts. The second world master distributor of technology products with $24.0 billion revenues per year informed it is expanding its Advanced Infrastructure Solutions Division and it signed an agreement with Falcon Stor to distribute its software products.

In the first communication it said its Advanced Infrastructure Solutions Division following the successful introduction of the division's Cisco Solutions Group last year, has built out its data center support structure with the HP Solutions Group, IBM Solutions Group, Software Solutions Group and Storage Solutions Group.

In the second note, Tech Data announced that it will distribute FalconStor Software's complete line of data-protection storage solutions.

Like Tech Data, other big technology distributors such as Ingram Micro and Bell Micro are working in the advanced solutions with the resellers to implement in businesses, government agencies and educational institutions. This implies a big change from the classic distribution channel moving boxes and selling hardware and software without important additional value.
